Jeremy Clarkson had a mission to create a proper British lager, so in 2021, when the Cotswolds’ best brewer met its worst farmer, Hawkstone was born. Since then, Hawkstone has grown to become the UK's fastest-growing beer and cider brand, now proudly producing award-winning British beer, cider, and stout, and #backingbritishfarming.
Our IPA and Hedgerow Cider, were both crowned Gold Country Winners in their categories at the 2025 World Beer Awards. This follows our premium lager's Gold Country Winner triumph in 2024, demonstrating the consistent, top-tier quality across our entire award-winning portfolio, which also includes accolades for our Cider, Session, and Stout.

woodchester valley vineyard
Woodchester Valley was established in 2007 when a single acre of vines were planted on our Amberley site to assess the suitability of the land for growing vines. Our first vintage, a crisp dry Bacchus was produced from our 2010 harvest. This was followed by a further planting in 2011, and an additional 20 acres at our Woodchester site in 2012, and then another 20 acres in Stonehouse in 2013.
Our winery was established in 2016, with our 2016 vintage being the first year we produced our wines on site. Now with 58 acres under vine, we produce a variety of still and sparkling wines, for which we have won multiple awards. We’re excited to be part of putting the West of England back on the winemaking map.
At our site in Woodchester (between Stroud & Nailsworth in Gloucestershire), we run Tours, Tastings and Events at our vineyard Tasting Room all-year-round. Our Cellar Door Shop nearby is also open for browsing and tasting selected wines each week.

Baz & fred | ram’s skull drinks
Ram’s Skull is a spirits brand built by two old friends Harry (Baz) Henriques and Fred Hicks, who since leaving school, have lived and breathed hospitality. After 15 years in the industry they've worked their way through most rums and tequilas under the sun. All this important research came to use when the boys decided to turn their hand to crafting their own spirits.
It’s been a great journey for them from spinning pizzas across the country, to being restaurateurs in London and landlords of two of the most talked about pubs in the Cotswolds - The Stump and The New Inn, opening a deli and now running the family wedding barn business Cripps & Co.
